After our filling dinner we always walk across the foot bridge in downtown Belfast. The kids always make messages in a bottle to throw into the water - and wait to see if anyone answers our messages. The last two years we have received answers- Here is the whole crowd.

What we do for fun in Maine!!!!

A visit to the Coburn's shoe store and the toy store in Belfast Maine!

The trip would not be complete without a visit to the oldest shoe store in America! The kids got some new boots and sneakers. They loved their visit to the toy store too! Then back to the house to head to the beach - good we got our new boots!

The Day before Thanksgiving

Getting together at the house in Maine. The kids from Saratoga just love their cousin Gabe! I am doing all the baking today - kids are hanging around playing!

Harvest Raffle for St Clement's School

Last night we attended the very successful 50/50 Harvest Raffle - the school raised over $30,000 with half of that going to the school capital campaign fund. It was really a fun night and Mary and Ann did a great job chairing the event.

Basketball

Just got back from 2 very exciting games of bball- Nora played first - a great game - she wanted to make sure her cousin Moira noticed she wears number 8 - the very same number she wore in high school!

The next game was thrilling - a nail-biter with Kerry's team winning in overtime by 4 points! Kerry even made a basket! Great fun.

Baking Cupcakes

Nora and Kerry did a great job today baking cupcakes - they are quite the chefs! The cupcakes were delicious !!! They were a big hit at the moms and kids luncheon at the O'Toole's house today. Good work girls - Yum!

More Single Ladies stuff

I felt like I needed to explain a little about our video- many of you have seen Beyonce's new video "Single Ladies' - well we always have dance contests with the kids and this is certainly a family affair! I think they are doing great!

Dinner with the crew!

We had a yummy dinner with the motley crew here in Saratoga Springs! We were very well behaved as you can see! Best friend of Kerry - Peter O'Toole joined us at Mamma Mia's for delicious pasta. We are planning our menus for tonight- the cookbooks that I brought were a big hit - so its off to the store today for supplies!

Road Trip!!!!

Off to NY today- should be a fun trip up to see the nieces and nephew- will post pix of all the fun!

Here are the kids last summer in Martha's Vineyard! We are planning on doing alot of cooking with my two chefs- Kerry and Nora!

New purchase from Ebay

Couldn't believe I found this today on ebay- this is the second time I have found a postcard of the house in Maine. This is a view I have never seen - Should arrive in a few days- can't wait. The house really looks quite overgrown with shrubs!

Just thought I should add a few things to the blog - important things like family and info - for example - we live in Washington DC when we are not at Lucky Stars- which is in the winter and early spring . We spend most of the holidays in Maine - Getting ready to head up there now- some photos of the kids and most importantly the cutest toddler in all the world!!! Our grandson Gabriel. So I will hopefully update this blog as often as I can -

Getting Started!

Well this is my first entry to my new blog- I think I might like this! The blog is named after our house in Maine. The house will certainly play a big part in all I blog about - all things happen at the house, all things decided are about the house and all money goes into the house!!!
